Please note that any association with our former director, Simon Ochola and his center SCC, has been severed, since we have found overwhelming evidence of corruption and child abuse (physical, neglect, and sexual). For anyone who would continue to support this type of behavior in a foreign country, only causes more harm to the children involved. If you are supporting Simon Ochola in anyway, we urge you to reconsider for the sake of the children he continues to abuse.
During 2011 we suspected and confirmed by investigations that our former director, Simon Ochola, was corrupt and abusing the children he was entrusted to overseeing. We choose to discontinue any support for him and at the urging of the community we began a new children's center called, New Beginnings. We have begun to build again. This center is currently under the watchful eye of Nyasoti New Beginnings Community Based Organization with a diverse board from the community to help protect what takes place. Currently we have 10 temporary classrooms for the children to attend school and 1 house built for our director and some of the resident children. We have also placed a water harvesting tank at the school, to collect rain water. We are progressing on to building a second house for some of the girls to live in with a house mother. In the future we need to errect 2 more temporary classrooms and get 4 more houses in place for the resident children. We will also need to building a kitchen, food storage room and dining hall. Any donations to build for their future will be greatly appreciated. We have committed to keeping an American on the ground in Kenya to help keep the corruption out.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit. All donations are tax deductible and non-refundable.
Our staff is an all volunteer staff, we have little to no administrative costs, the donations you give go to help the children. Because we are aware that corruption is common in many developing countries, we will investigate each project we support to assure accountability and proper conduct. If any discrepencies are found, we will endeavor to uncover truth in the matter to assure your donation is being used for the purpose intended. If we suspect the donation is being misused, we may, at our discretion, withhold or redirect the donations until such time that the issues have been addressed and resolved. We do this for the protection of those who support this ministry and the children it serves.
