When Did I See You Hungry?
One of the most exciting parts of every mission trip, has become the visits to the widows. Life in a rural area of a third world country is extremely hard for a widow who lacks education, owns little of anything, (except maybe a small piece of land, that belonged to her family) and who is now left with the burden of caring for many orphans in the area (because so many have died).
Every year our mission team hikes into the bush to take supplies to these widows who feel hopeless and forgotten.
These women give sacrificially to support their own children, relatives children and community children, who have lost their parents. Most often these impoverished women give well beyond their means in providing for these children, and trust God to fill in the gaps.
Widows
Our team helps to stand in the gap for these courageous women. We take basic supplies to them and let them know they are not forgotten. We pray with them and deliver hope as well as material needs.
You can become part of this ministry to the widows. $20 will supply one widow. The more donations we receive the more widows we can bless.
Become part of the mission team for 2010 by sponsoring 1 or more widows. Mark your donation as ‘widows ministry’ and have it to our office by June 15th.
May God bless you as you give.

Expedition Kenya 2010 & 2011
The Expedition Kenya Team 2010 will soon begin their 1 month countdown to departure day. Donations are coming in and packing has begun. We received an awesome donation of 100 dresses for the girls from Dress A Girl Around the World. A wonderful ministry of Hope 4 Women. We are still in need of more donations listed under ‘Donations For Kenya’. Become part of this trip and give a donation.
Continue to keep this team in prayer for provisions, health, and spiritual issues that might come their way. Often the enemy will try to deter those whom God has called and we need your prayer covering for this team.

Makrias Christian School
The second semester for the 2010 school year has begun in Kenya.
This semester the extracurricular focus is on the arts. The first week in June, 80 students will participate in a local music festival which includes, singing games for the younger children, plus competition in varying categories, for the older children. These include folk songs, folk dances and sacred songs, to mention a few.
Our talented students
The children are excited to be able to compete each year and we do have some very talented students. If you have access to facebook (online), you can go to our group page and watch some of the videos of the children singing and dancing.
Praise God for each of you who have helped make this opportunity a reality for these children.
YOU are my HEROES!!
Building News
The walls of 2 of the classrooms are going up. This is only possible through the donations of so many of you. This month construction has slowed as the funds for supplies has dwindled. This project means so much to the children, as it will mean an end to the 2 mile walk they currently make each day, to go to school. Plus it will replace the old worn-out structure the younger children attend each day.
Please join us and become part of our BFF club "Building For their Future". You can do so by committing to give $10 or more to building each month. You can going on line to pay through our website, for an automatic withdrawal, or send a check. If we each give a little...God can do a lot!!
It is a huge blessing to know that there are those who support what God is building for His children in Kenya.

Magunga/Nyasoti News
Kenya has had torrential rains for the last month. This has caused the lower corn field (the larger one) to flood. The rain has now slowed. Pray that God would save the crop. That not too much would be damaged from the floods.
Another view of market day
This past month the local public school in Nyasoti, made a decision to close off the road to the children’s center. About 50’ of the road that gave access to the center, went through the school grounds. The children’s center has been forced to make a new access road about 1 mile long to get to the center. About 10 men from the church have been showing up daily to volunteer their services to clear the brush and dig the road, by hand. What a sacrifice of love these servants have made. They set a goal to have the new road accessible by the first Thurs in June, so that the supply trucks can deliver to the center. Praise God for them and pray for their health and well being.
Child of The Month
Meet Fiona!
Fiona
Please pray for Fiona. She is 13 years old and lives in Kenya.
Her father died in 2000 from AIDS and her mother has struggled to provide for her ever since.
Fiona is very bright and is always one of the top 5 students in her 7th grade class.
She speaks English very well and is hoping for a sponsor that will communicate with her so that she can practice her skills and get to know what they are like.
Please pray for Fiona’s health. That she may remain bright at school and not be hungry.
Pray for Fiona to find a sponsor to help her.
By sponsoring Fiona, or another child for $35 a month, you help provide food, clothing, medical care, and an education.
100% of all sponsor donations go to help the children.
