Join us as we minister to the growing number of children who are left orphaned by the AIDS pandemic and other diseases that ravage this part of the world, that time has forgotten. See beautiful Kenya. Help with a VBS to the children. Hike into the bush to take supplies and hope to widows who live in mud huts (many of whom are caring for orphans). Share the word of God to those yearning to be set free. Play games with the children and plant trees in the orchard. Spend a day on a real safari. Change your life! Change the world! Reach the nations!

Often asked questions:
What age do you need to be for the trip?
You need to be 13 years of age by the trip date. Adults and youth are welcome.
Will there be supervision on the trip?
Yes! All of our trips are under trained, adult supervision. All adults leaders are trained and have experience in the mission field. Many have experience in dealing with young people. Our project directors and team leaders have child protection clearances. Safety is a top priority.
Is the trip basically for youth or adults?
The trip is for both. We design the trips around those who have applied to go.
Who will direct the trip and what will we do?
You will have a project director from the USA who will travel with you and oversee the entire trip. This project director will start training you months before the trip takes place to help the team begin to work together and to teach about the culture, the ministry you will do, and make sure that everyone understand the rules for a safe trip. A large part of most trips is centered around the children (since you will be living at the children's center for part of the trip). We will incorporate ministry to widows, evangelism, construction, and farming with many of the trips. This will depend on who is traveling on a particular trip and what they hope to accomplish.
Where will the missionaries stay?
The mission team will stay at the children's center for most of the trip. You will stay in mud huts and/or tents at the children's center. We do reserve the right to change locations if we see any danger in where we orginally planned to take our team. Safety is our top priority!!
How safe is the trip?
Safety is taught and stressed during the mission training. It is the top priority of the team and every decision made will be to keep the team safe while they are serving. We have a leadership structure designed to spread out the leadership, thus keeping the team more accountable and much safer. Because you are serving in a third world country, at all times our directors and leaders will place the safety of the team as paramount. Changes that need to be made are made in regards to location, ministry, and behavior are made are made with the safety of the team in mind.
Can I take a whole group?
Yes, you can take an entire group. We can accomodate youth groups, construction groups, medical groups, discipling groups, teaching groups, etc. We may place other missionaries on the team depending on the size. If you are bringing a group, you can choose to be the team leader(this will involve further training) or ask that one be assigned to your group. All groups will work with our project director who understand the culture and ministry needs in the area.
What does the cost provide?
The trip cost provides you with food, lodging, transportation(in Kenya), and some ministry funds. We will try to cover the cost of the safari but this depends on the going rate at the time of booking. You might want to raise more ministry funds, depending on what the team is doing. You might be asked to cover 1-2 meals during travel time and any personal spending money. Airfare will be based on the going rate at the time of booking (this is not included in the trip price). The earlier you apply the better rate. Airfare booking will start in Dec/Jan.
What if I do not live in your area, can I still do the trip? How will I do the training?
If you live outside of our local area, you are still welcome to do the mission trip. For your training, you can either travel to our area a few days before we depart, and receive your training OR if there are enough people in your area who are going, we will send a project director to your area for a few days, to train you.
If I travel from another area, how and where do I meet up with the team?
You will need to arrive in our area (Pennsylvania) the day before we depart(or three days prior to departure if you will be joining the training at that time) and then fly out with the rest of the team. You can drive in or you can fly in and we will meet you outside the secured area at BWI or Harrisburg International. (If this is not possible, contact us for other arrangements.) If you are traveling with an entire group from outside our area, we can arrange to travel straight to Kenya and we will have our people in place to meet you at the airport in Nairobi.
